PHM Racing by Charouz have confirmed the completion of their 2023 FIA Formula 3 driver line-up, announcing that Polish racer Piotr Wiśnicki will be joining Sophia Flörsch and Roberto Faria at the German team.

Making his single-seater debut in 2020, Wiśnicki completed two seasons in the Italian F4 Championship, with a best result of 19th in the Standings, before stepping up to drive in the Formula Regional European Championship last year.

“I am very happy that as a rookie I will be able to compete in such a strong F3 field together with PHM Racing,” said Wiśnicki. “It's a huge step in my career, and it's going to require a lot of looks and work from me. I would like to thank everyone at PHM Racing for the opportunity that will allow me to appear in this series”

19-year-old Wiśnicki won’t have to wait long to get his first taste of his new machinery, with less than a week to go until pre-season testing in Sakhir gets underway from February 14-16.

PHM Racing Team Manager Roland Rehfeld added: “Piotr has more skills than the last year’s results in FRECA have shown. Knowing him from his first years in F4 as a frontrunner, I am convinced of his natural speed. We have to work on procedures on and off track, but I really liked his way to bring himself into FIA F3. He needs to learn many tracks as same as his teammates, so we will take our time to generate the potential we have and bring it into results.”
