NAME: Grégoire Saucy DATE OF BIRTH: 26/12/1999 NATIONALITY: Swiss 2022 TEAM: ART Grand Prix

WHERE DID YOU GROW UP?

"I live in Switzerland, in Bassecourt. I spent a lot of time in karting with my brother because my father owns an indoor karting track. So when I was kid at 3 years-old, my family started karting for me."

FIRST RACING MEMORY

"Karting in Switzerland, because I didn't do European or World karting. I did only the Swiss Championship. So it was really small.

"I didn't do a lot of competition, because we didn't have the money to do it. So I just drove a lot in the Winter Cup. I think it's why I did more single-seaters compared to the others because I needed to learn the competition to battle with the results of other drivers."

RACING STYLE

"I try to do my best when I have an opportunity, I try to take it. I think we need to take all the opportunities when you find one. I keep the same style, I don't need to change it."

RACING HEROES

"My racing hero from when I was a kid is Michael Schumacher, and it's still the same. If we look at F1 Now, of course for me, I'm more (Lewis) Hamilton than (Max) Verstappen, but my hero is Schumacher. I was always watching his races on TV."

BIGGEST RACING ACHIEVEMENT

"My best race for sure was Imola last year, because I won my first race. So for me, it was just amazing.

"I think I had a really good start in Spa last year because we had the problem in Qualifying, so I was starting P24. And in one lap, I was P10 and it was in the wet."

BEST THING ABOUT BEING A RACING DRIVER

"For me it's to do a Qualifying lap. One lap. When you roll out of the pit lane, just in my mind is to do the best I can."

FAVOURITE TRACK

"Barcelona. It's just really nice track. There is all types of corners, there are two simple sectors, and there is sector three wwhere there is a lot of degradation. There is a bit of everything, it's quite nice."
