Soaking up the Spanish sun and pushing it to the limit - Martí's dream F3 weekend

Eager to give the drivers a challenge, we hand the reigns over to Josep María Martí to create his dream addition to the Formula 3 calendar.
Heading back home to Spain, the Campos Racing driver would incorporate some of motorsport's most iconic corners, but was keen to make sure that the on-track action was the only thing heating up, rather than himself!
__WHERE WOULD THE RACE BE HELD? __
Spain! It's my home country, my family lives here and everything. I'd probably go north of Barcelona where there's a coast, near to the beach. I'd want a permanent racetrack, one that's not too hard on the tyres so you don’t have to think about anything, you can just drive.
__WHEN WOULD YOU HOLD THE RACE? __
Mid-April to May because it's not too hot. Now you start to get to the point where it’s quite hot to drive.
__DAY OR NIGHT? __
Day – I think night racing can be fun, but to a certain extent because it gets some of the excitement because it’s a night race. It fits for particular environments. I’m more of a fan of day races.
__WET OR DRY RACE? __
That’s a tough one. I'd say a fully wet Qualifying and a dry race. For Qualifying if it’s wet, you can make some mistakes or push really hard. Then for the race because it’s dry you can make overtakes.

__HOW WOULD THE TRACK BE LAID OUT? __
I'm thinking Turn 1 from Valencia – Circuit Ricardo Tormo - because it's fast. Then I would follow it up with the very long corner from Istanbul. It would be quite hard on the tyres but that doesn't matter.
Then the Monte Carlo hairpin because when you think of Monaco, you think of that corner. It has the casino in the back and the unique monuments that Monaco has, which makes it the most interesting corner.
After that, I'd go into a 90-degree left and then the whole up-down section from Portimão - most of the second sector. Finally, I'd top it off with the last sector from Suzuka, with the 130R and the last chicane.

__WHAT WOULD THE PODIUM AND TROPHIES LOOK LIKE? __
The podium would have the beach and the sea in the background because it’s coastal, with the flags behind. I’d like some big classic trophies – there was this trophy in European karting, and it looked like a building because it had different phases – something different that isn’t just one thing.
__WHICH BAND OR ARTIST WOULD PLAY AT THE EVENT? __
Drake and Calvin Harris! I’m a really big fan of Drake when it comes to music, so he’s someone I’d like to see and get to know at some point.
