Saucy handed grid drop penalty for Sakhir Feature Race

ART Grand Prix’s Grégoire Saucy has been handed a three-place grid drop penalty for causing a collision in today’s Formula 3 Sprint Race at Sakhir.
The Swiss racer came together with his teammate Victor Martins at Turn 1 while battling for eighth in the opening stages of the race. The duo returned to the pitlane but they were both forced to retire.
The Stewards found Saucy to be at fault for the accident, stating that the front wing of his car made contact with Martins’ rear tyre. With the penalty applied, Saucy will start from sixth on the grid in Sunday’s Feature Race at 11.45am (local time).
