DeFrancesco given Race 1 penalty

Devlin DeFrancesco has been handed a time penalty following this morning’s Race 1 at Spa-Francorchamps.
The Stewards decided that the Trident driver was wholly or predominantly to blame for a collision between the Canadian and Campos Racing’s Alex Peroni on Lap 1. It was found that DeFrancesco had locked up into Turn 8 and collided with the Australian, bringing Peroni’s race to a premature end
DeFrancesco was given a drive through penalty that has been converted into a post-race time penalty of 20 seconds.
The Canadian remains 29th in the classification.
