Bhirombhakdi penalised following Monza Feature Race

Following the conclusion of the FIA Formula 3 Feature Race at Monza, Nandhavud Bhirombhakdi has been penalised.

The Thai driver was alleged to have driven erratically during the Feature Race. Afterwards, the Stewards examined CCTV video evidence, heard from the driver and DAMS Lucas Oil team representative.

They determined that Car 30 had driven on track in the opposite direction while another car had been approaching in the correct direction of travel at Turns 1 and 2.

This constitutded a breach of Article 27.4 of the FIA Formula 3 Sporting Regulations. As a result, the Stewards applied a 10-second stop-and-go penalty. With the penalty assessed post-race, the penalty is applied as a 30-second time penalty.

With the additional 30 seconds applied, Bhirombhadki drops from 18th to 23rd in the Monza Feature Race classification.
