Patrick Heuzenroeder to deputise for Ernesto Rivera in Melbourne

Campos Racing has confirmed that Patrick Heuzenroeder will fill in for the injured Ernesto Rivera at the opening round of the FIA Formula 3 season in Melbourne.
Rivera has been dealing with a back injury following an on-track incident over the winter, and missed the pre-season test earlier this month in Barcelona.
Heuzenroeder filled in for the Mexican driver then, and is set to do so again in Melbourne as Rivera continues his rehabilitation process.
Speaking at the announcement, the Australian driver expressed how grateful he was for the opportunity to race on home soil.
“I’m very excited to be given this opportunity to make my debut in F3 at my home Grand Prix,” said Heuzenroeder. “It will be a steep learning curve, but I am looking forward to it and can’t wait to get on track!
“Thank you to my supporters and family for this opportunity.”
