Turning a less-than-ideal situation into a moment that captivated the motorsport world, Campos Racing had us all in awe during the Spa-Francorchamps race weekend.
After a major collision between Oliver Goethe and Zane Maloney during Saturday’s Sprint Race, the Spanish team were left facing a sizeable rebuild, reconstructing #21 car virtually from scratch once more.
In a testament to the dedication and hard work teams put in every single race weekend, behind the scenes footage showed the Campos crew put in a remarkable feat to get the car ready to head out for Sunday’s Feature Race in less than 12 hours, where they narrowly missed out on a podium finish.
Uploaded to social media, the video would earn over 140k views on Twitter alone and gain praise throughout the paddock and beyond for their herculean efforts, as well as being acknowledged with the Dallara Award for the Best Creative Social Media Content at the 2022 Formula 3 Prize Giving Ceremony.
Team Principal Adrián Campos Jr remarked: "The following day we gave the car to Ollie (Goethe), we lost the podium on the last lap. I’m very happy, social media was something we could share with everyone, so very proud of it."
