Following the FIA Formula 3 Qualifying session in Spielberg, two drivers have been handed penalties.

Campos Racing’s Christian Mansell has been handed a three-place grid penalty. The Australian driver was found to have crossed the white line at pit entry on his way into the pitlane, breaching the Sporting Regulations.

Mansell had originally been set to start Saturday’s Sprint Race in third position but will now start from sixth on the grid. His penalty promotes Oliver Goethe, Kaylen Frederick and Franco Colapinto up one position each on the grid.

PREMA Racing driver Zak O’Sullivan has also been given a three-place grid penalty for impeding during Qualifying. The Briton was judged to have unnecessarily impeded Van Amersfoort Racing driver Tommy Smith at Turn 10 during the session.

O’Sullivan had been set to start the Sprint Race from P7 on the grid, but with the penalty he is dropped to P10. It promotes Caio Collet, Paul Aron and Gabriel Bortoleto up one position each on the Sprint grid.
