PREMA Racing are the first team to announce the completion of their driver line-up for 2021, revealing that Olli Caldwell will join them for his second season at this level.

The British racer will team up with the already announced duo of Arthur Leclerc and Dennis Hauger, making the switch from Trident.

“I am really excited to announce that I will be competing with Prema in the 2021 FIA F3 Championship,” said Caldwell. “Having competed with the team in previous championships I’m looking forward to putting what I learnt from my rookie year to good use and continuing our history together in FIA F3”

Caldwell has previous experience with the Italian outfit, taking four poles and four wins in the 2018 Italian Formula 4 Championship. The 18-year-old remained with PREMA in the 2019 Formula Regional European Championship, where he took seven podiums and one win.

Caldwell’s rookie season in F3 included multiple points finishes and a top five in Spielberg with Trident, and he will now look to contend for the title with PREMA, who have won consecutive Teams’ and Drives’ Championships.

Team Principal Rene Rosin added: "We look forward to welcoming Olli back to the PREMA family. Having worked with him in the past, we know he has a smart approach and can adapt quickly, which we expect to be a key skill with the challenging season ahead.

“In addition, he knows our work ethics and approach, so he is definitely a good fit for 2021. It is always great to see young drivers evolve with us throughout their career, and we are sure Olli will keep up the improvement this season.”
