Ice cream and walks in the forest: Brando Badoer’s tour of his Hometown

Brando Badoer is our next tour guide from the 2025 grid, as the PREMA Racing driver takes us around his hometown of Montebelluna.

The Italian tells us about the place he grew up, the best places to go, as well as the neighbouring towns, and what he would recommend you do when you visit.

“My hometown is Montebelluna. The main city is Treviso, it’s 20 minutes away from Montebelluna which is a quite small town, about 30,000 inhabitants.

“Specifically, I live in a hill over the town, and it is right next to the town, named Montello. It’s a very quiet place, a lot of nature and a lot of opportunities to have walks in the forest, to go biking, so it’s a pretty nice place to live in, very peaceful.

“In my town specifically, there isn’t much. There is a plaza with ice cream places, some restaurants, but there is really not a lot in my town, because it’s quite small. There are more things to do in the main town which is Treviso.

“You can go shopping, there are a lot of shops, you can have nice dinners because there are nice restaurants. But if there was a tourist coming to a place, I would bring them to Venice, as it’s like 30 minutes away, so not far at all, and you can do many things. It’s a very special place.

“There are not many residential places, but the inhabitants are not little, and there are not a lot of activities, so it’s mainly a residential place.

“There are some sporting centres, like football fields, tennis courts, but they are not fully developed, but as I said, I live in a small town.

“I learned how to drive a kart at a track called Pista Verde, which is 15 minutes away from my home. It’s a very old school track, my dad used to race there. I was really young when I first drove a kart there, I was four or five years old.

“That’s where my motorsport journey started, I grew up there trying different go karts.

“To be honest, if I brought Ugo and Noel to my hometown, I would definitely take them to the track. There is a bar there at the track, so food and everything else can be arranged, so that’s mainly what we would do.”
