Today’s FIA Formula 3 Qualifying session was first red flagged and then not restarted due to wet conditions at the Hungaroring.
The session started in the rain which intensified in the opening minutes. In treacherous conditions, Lirim Zendeli and Liam Lawson both went off track at the same corner and ended up in the gravel trap. This brought out a red flag and the remaining cars returned to the pits, but having set no laptime.
Shortly after, with no sign of the rain relenting, the session was suspended.
Suitable solutions are under discussion and more information will be provided in due time.
