Mari Boya was in a reflective mood as he assessed his season so far, before previewing the Monza action, as he looks to seal second in the Drivers’ Championship and to help Campos Racing take the Teams’ title.
It could be a historic final round for the 21-year-old and Campos as he looks to hold on to second in the Drivers’ Standings, while the Spanish outfit goes head-to-head with TRIDENT for the Teams’ title.
Boya, who has driven for Campos across the last two seasons, says he will give his all to make sure they come out on top by Sunday.

“I know the team is really pushing us a lot and they are looking forward to it,” said Boya. “I would love to finish my F3 campaign winning the Teams' Championship. I feel they deserve it a lot, but not only with me but the season has been hard for all three cars.
“We lost a lot of points and everything was outside our control because the car is more or less similar to the beginning of the year, but things had not been going our way.
“It's a bit of a shame, I feel we have been the strongest team this year but there are still many points to score going into the final round. As drivers, we will try to give our maximum and bring the Championship home.”
The Spaniard has enjoyed a stellar campaign in Formula 3, achieving five podium finishes, including a victory in the Silverstone Feature Race, contributing 108 points to Campos’ 263 total.
Alongside that, Boya also signed for the Aston Martin Driver Academy, and ahead of the final round of the season, he gave his views on 2025.
“The season has gone very fast to be honest,” he said. “I was speaking with someone just before about how quickly it's gone and you don't even realise it, but I am happy about the season.

“For sure as an experienced driver I would have loved to have scored more points at the beginning of the season, to make the difference to the rookie drivers, but it wasn't the case.
“We have been really strong in the second part of the season, but racing is like this and sometimes you cannot deal with or control things as you may want.
“But still, I think overall it has been a really good year and really happy and proud about Campos and also all the things that happened with me, together with Aston Martin, it has been a brilliant year.”
Looking ahead to the weekend, Boya says Free Practice will be key as while Monza is a track known to all, with a new car and changing conditions, they will have to get up to speed as quickly as possible ahead of Qualifying.
“We will start with Free Practice, to see what we need,” said Boya. “We will see what the situation is because every year is different. It's the first year with this car on this track, so let’s see what it's asking for.
“But for sure Monza, in all conditions, not only in quali, but in the races, you can make the difference, also with the Soft compounds. I would like to see how the situation is in Free Practice and try to work with the team as well to prepare as well as we can for qualifying.”

Boya – who finished third in the 2023 Monza Sprint Race – later added: “It's a track I like a lot. I know what it means to make the podium here so for sure it's a special track for me.
“If you told me about this season after Imola, when I wasn't even in the top 10, so the progress we have done is amazing. I knew the pace and potential was there, I always said it, but it's one thing to say it, it's another to do it.
“But I am feeling like I am in one of my best moments of my career, maybe even my best one. I am enjoying myself all the time in the car, and I am enjoying this moment.”
