HIGHLIGHTS: Sargeant steals the Championship lead from Piastri with Race 2 win

If you want to make it on the Road to F1, then there’s only one way to respond when you lose the Championship lead, and that’s by taking it straight back. Logan Sargeant done exactly that in the Formula 3 Race 2, reclaiming first in the standings from teammate Oscar Piastri in resounding style.

This put him in the perfect place to challenge reverse polesitter Richard Verschoor, and he dispatched of him at the second corner of the first lap. He rarely looked in trouble from this moment onwards, brushing off a late attack from Frederik Vesti in the final laps to finish 0.8s ahead.

Piastri worked hard in a desperate attempt to retain his advantage at the top of the table, but could only managed sixth place, after a 5s time penalty for leaving the track and gaining an advantage curtailed his efforts to get further forward.
