Rafael Câmara took the lead of the Drivers’ Championship at the opening round of the season in Melbourne, and never let it go, becoming the third consecutive TRIDENT driver to win the FIA Formula 3 title, after Gabriel Bortoleto and Leonardo Fornaroli.

The Brazilian’s record-breaking campaign had four dominant Feature Race wins from pole, the first two coming at the opening rounds in Melbourne and Sakhir.

He repeated that same trick in Barcelona, and later in Budapest, where not only did he take a fourth victory of the season, but he also sealed the Drivers’ Championship with one round to spare, something that had never been done in Formula 3.

Câmara ended the year 42 points ahead of his nearest rival Nikola Tsolov with Mari Boya in third. However, those two drivers finished the year by helping Campos Racing seal their first ever Formula 3 Teams’ Championship.
