Tsunoda penalised for Macau Qualifying race

Yuki Tsunoda has been served with a three-place grid drop for tomorrow’s FIA F3 World Cup Qualifying Race.
The Hitech GP racer was found to have reversed a considerable distance up the run-off area in Turn 3 during today’s Q2.
The stewards said that Tsunoda eventually re-joined the track safely and successfully, however, prior to that he had reversed in “an unexpected manner,” in the run-off area of the corner.
The reverse was said to have been quite dangerous due to the very high entrance speed towards the turn, at a point where visibility would have been quite poor.
The Japanese driver will now start the Qualifying Race from 23rd place on the grid, having originally qualified 20th.
