Team tribute and a driver’s best friend: Théophile Nael on his 2026 helmet design
Théophile Nael talks about the details that feature on his 2026 helmet design

Campos Racing’s Théophile Nael is the latest driver on the 2026 grid to walk us through their helmet design for this season.
The Frenchman talks about the little details, including design features that have remained the same since karts, and how he’s freshened up his colours for the current campaign.
"Well, it's changed a bit in terms of colours for sure. I tried to have some Spanish colours on it because of being with Campos Racing, a Spanish team.
"I also always have my signature, so the 'N', the first letter of my name on it, my logo on the back, with my dog, and always the thing that I put on it, 'always further', so that's wording that I decided to have on it, so yeah, very special for me.
"I just took it simple as well, a bit aggressive if you look at the front and quite clean if you look at the back. I like it to be honest, I think it represents me well.

"The front for me is quite nice, quite aggressive. The top as well with the French flag on it, so it's a very small, but very nice detail.
"I've been working with the same designer since a long time ago, Amato Design , so the match is cool and every year we are trying to do something different but with the same design.
"I've been working with him for five, six years now, even in go-karts, so a long time ago, but I really like what they are doing, and they always try to have the helmets ready as soon as possible.

"I did a special one in Monaco. That was a really, really cool one, that was a really good one.
"I might do one for Madrid, for the last one, dedicate it to the team as well, Spanish colours and the flag.
"It's a Schubert helmet, been with them since I was in F4, always with them. They have been supporting me for three years now, so I'm super happy to be with them.
"Feels really good, comfortable, and I think the design of Schubert has represented me well as well in terms of aggressiveness. I think that's my look."
