
After the summer break, we have an in-season test to get back on track, with all 30 FIA Formula 3 drivers getting a taste of a brand-new venue.
The Madring in the Spanish capital city hosts the two-day event ahead of the season finale later this year, and it will be a crucial test for all involved.
Here’s all you need to know about the test.
WHAT TO EXPECT
It’s a brand-new circuit and a crucial test for all teams and drivers ahead of the season-ending event in Madrid later in September.
The two-day event begins on Monday, August 24th and ends on Tuesday, August 25th. Track action begins at 09:00 local time on both days, but the second day will differ slightly.
The morning segment will end at 12:00 on both days, before the afternoon session begins at 14:00 local time on Day 1, with the chequered flag at 17:00. Day 2 will feature a shorter break, with the final action of the second day resuming at 13:00 local time and ending at 16:00 local time.
STAT PACK
- The newly built Madring Circuit runs to a length of 5.416Km and features 22 corners
- The circuit uses both public and private roads around the IFEMA Exhibition Centre
- AIX Racing has confirmed that Ricardo Escotto will return to the team for the test and the final two rounds of the 2026 season in place of Salim Hanna
- PREMA Racing has also announced that Louis Sharp has left the team in a mutual decision, with Alex Powell replacing him for the Madring test and the remaining two rounds of the season
