Novalak and Nannini handed post-race 1 penalties

Clément Novalak and Matteo Nannini have both received penalties following today’s FIA Formula 3 Race 1 at Silverstone.
Novalak has received a five-second time penalty for going off track at Turn 15 and gaining an advantage.
The Carlin Buzz driver approached the corner with Lirim Zendeli on the inside, and attempted an outside pass. As they approached the exit, the Trident driver retained a car length’s lead, but Novalak left the track, passed behind the kerbs, and returned to the tarmac ahead of Zendeli.
The time penalty drops Novalak out of the points and down to 13th place, promoting Ben Barnicoat to tenth, and reverse grid pole.
Nannini has been handed a three-place grid drop for Race 2, for making contact with Sebastian Fernandez at Turn 15. Nannini will start Race 2 from the back of the grid.
