With me stepping up to F3, I wanted this helmet to be more of a mature step because my previous helmet felt like more of a karting helmet - whereas this one is a little more simplified. MDM Designs helped me out with the style and then Bell has done the paintwork. There is no particular story to it like there is with some drivers and their helmets, but I like it.

All of the outlines and the basic design of the helmet are similar to before, but colour wise it is completely different. I had previously used the fluorescent yellow and blue, whereas now I have gone with the Renault colours to the match the car I am driving and because it pays Renault a nice subtle tribute in line with my place in their academy - I think that it is quite a nice touch. Also, my car is yellow and black and so is my suit and I wanted it to all match up. I have got the mixture between matte black and gloss black, with some glitter detail as well. I like the inside of the helmet which features a full red interior, I think that’s pretty nice.

My first ever karting team was yellow and black too, so it is quite nice to have those links in with the helmet. It was not really intended, but I like that story because it was me and my dad and we had yellow and black stickers on the kart, so it is pretty cool to have come back to that.
