Hitech Grand Prix have parted ways with Renault Academy driver Max Fewtrell, with three rounds left to run in the 2020 FIA Formula 3 Championship.

Fewtrell made his F3 debut in 2019 with ART Grand Prix, on the back of winning Formula Renault Eurocup. The Briton took two podiums in his maiden campaign, finishing 10th in the Championship with 57 points.

The 21-year-old then made the switch to Hitech for the 2019 season, after impressing the British outfit at the 2019 Macau Grand Prix.

The British driver’s best finish this season was seventh in the Round 2 Sprint Race in Spielberg, but he has not scored a point since then, and will now split with the team, ahead of Round 7 in Spa-Francorchamps. Hitech have said that they will announce his replacement in due course.
