Enzo Deligny: My Ultimate Driver

With a podium on Formula 3 debut, Enzo Deligny has started on the front foot in 2026. The Van Amersfoort Racing driver takes on another challenge, this time building his ideal racing driver.

INTELLIGENCE

“Obviously Max is up there, but maybe Alonso as well is quite good for thinking clever in the car. He seems to know the rules just off by heart more than other drivers. He's quite experienced, so I’d probably go for Alonso.”

WET WEATHER ABILITY

“Max no question. Brazil 2024 when Lando was on pole and then Max starting P17 in the race and winning, that was just crazy.”

QUALIFYING PACE

“Obviously Max is very good, but I have to give a shoutout to Charles as well. He's very, very quick on the single lap.”

CORNERING STYLE

“I think Max or Charles again. I think Charles brakes really late into the corners. He really attacks them, you could say.”

TYRE MANAGEMENT

“There's a lot of people you can go with, but tyre management. I'll say Max again.

“Obviously, F3 tyres aren't the exact same as F1, but, it's definitely a lot higher deg than what I've experienced in the past. I mean, qualifying is just one push, and then you box. Then in the race, it can deg a lot.”

SMOOTH DRIVING STYLE

“I’ll go for Lewis. He's quite laid back nowadays."

AGGRESSIVE STYLE

“Charles. Kimi as well. Kimi is quite aggressive driving I'd say.

“I think my own style is quite neutral. Maybe a bit more aggressive in style, but overall quite neutral. I mean, it is a bit how the car is handling, but some drivers make a lot of inputs, like very aggressive with the wheel. I'm not completely like that, but just normal.”

OVERTAKING ABILITY

“I'm only going to say Max or Charles…. Actually Oscar Piastri! Piastri is good at overtaking.”

DREAM TEAM

“Best team principal, probably Toto Wolff. He seems like a nice guy as well. Two racing drivers… I’d put Charles and Max and for the car it’d be the 2020 Mercedes. It was the quickest car ever.”
