FIA Formula 3 action resumes in 2026 with an in-season test around the Red Bull Ring and two crucial days of running.
It will mark the first time teams have been on track since the opening round of the year in Melbourne, and with a visit to Monte Carlo following, maximising their time in the car will be the focus for everyone.
Drivers will take to the track on May 20-21, with each day split into two segments. The morning sessions will run from 09:00 local time to 12:00 local time.
On Day 1, the afternoon session will begin at 14:00 local time and run to 17:00, while on the second and final day, the lunch break will be shortened to one hour, meaning on-track action begins again at 13:00 local time and finishes at 16:00.
Drivers will be running the red-walled Soft compound Pirelli tyres during the event.
This event will be the first time the Red Bull Ring has hosted an FIA Formula 3 test event
The Red Bull Ring layout runs to 4.326Km in length and features three DRS zones
During the race weekend last season, the fastest lap in Qualifying was a 1:20.743, set by Nikola Tsolov for Campos Racing
Rodin Motorsport will replace Christian Ho for this test event due to the Singaporean driver having an academic clash. Genaro Trappa will drive in his place
Testing will be available to follow along with via the live blog on the official Formula 3 website. Reports and reaction will follow on both days of testing. Keep an eye on the official F3 social media channels on Instagram, TikTok and X for more updates too.
