Campos Racing driver Josep María Martí has been confirmed as the newest member of the Red Bull Junior Team programme.

The Spaniard has enjoyed his best Formula 3 season since joining the Championship, taking three race victories and vying for the title.

Winner of the first race of the 2023 campaign back in Sakhir, he has since won at Monte Carlo and claimed a home race Feature win in Barcelona. Entering the final round, Martí is third in the Drivers’ Championship on 105 points.

"It's a childhood dream come true to become part of a Formula 1 team," Martí said. "Red Bull have been the leading force from the last years and are the reigning champions. It's an organisation that's done so much for the sport for so long, carrying a lot of champions and younger drivers so to be part of that team is an unbelievable thing for me.

"I'm really excited to get going and to get started with the team on the right foot. I hope it's a relationship that lasts for a long time. I'm really proud. I've had some rough moments and better moments in my career and to have this happen to me, I'm extremely grateful."

The 18-year-old becomes the second F3 driver on the 2023 grid to be part of the Formula 1 team’s junior driver set-up alongside Hitech Pulse-Eight’s Sebastián Montoya.
