Two drivers have received penalties following today's Round 5 Feature Race in Spielberg.

Firstly, Roman Stanek has been awarded a five second time penalty for causing a collision with Kaylen Frederick on the penultimate lap. Stanek started an overtaking manoeuvre on the Hitech Grand Prix driver up the inside of Turn 3's braking zone. The cars arrived at the corner's apex nearly side by side and the Trident driver thought Frederick saw him and would give him enough racing room. When Stanek realised the silver Hitech cut to the inside of the corner, he tried to brake but locked up, went straight on and both cars collided. The Stewards found that onus to overtake in a safe and controlled manner lied with Stanek, who was deemed to be predominately at fault for the collision.

The Czech driver had finished in P6 and his penalty demotes him to P11. As a result, Franco Colapinto, Alexander Smolyar, William Alatalo and Ido Cohen all move up one place each, while Juan Manuel Correa is promoted to the final points-paying position in P10. Consequently, in the Drivers' Championship, Stanek drops back to fifth behind Jak Crawford on 67 points.

Secondly, Josep María Martí has received a three-place grid drop for the next race he participates in for causing a collision with Zak O'Sullivan at Turn 4. The Campos Racing driver was late on the brakes and tried to avoid a collision with the Carlin car. However, the two touched causing O'Sullivan to spin, whilst Martí broke his front left suspension and retired. The Stewards found that the Spaniard was wholly at fault for the incident.
