McKenzy Cresswell will replace Piotr Wisnicki at PHM Racing by Charouz for the Spielberg and Silverstone Rounds the team has confirmed.

The 17-year-old British driver arrives in FIA Formula 3 having raced in GB3 in 2022 and 2023. He is currently seventh in the Drivers’ Championship, with two podiums to his name this season.

His best finish of P2 this year came at Silverstone and he said he was very much looking forward to getting started in FIA F3. Adapting quickly for this weekend’s race at the Red Bull Ring is his primary target with an upcoming race on home soil following in July says Cresswell.

“It’s been whirlwind few days, having learned of this opportunity at the end of last week. Big thanks to Roland Rehfeld at PHM and Tony Shaw, my GB3 engineer, for making this happen. I will try my best to adapt quickly and get the best results possible. Red Bull Ring will be an exciting challenge. It’s a new car and new circuit for me. The following weekend we will be back on home turf alongside the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.”

Round 6 in Spielberg will get underway from 30 June – 2 July.
