Round 3 post Race 2 penalty

Hitech Grand Prix’s Ye Yifei has received a grid drop for the next F3 race which will take place at Silverstone in two weeks’ time.

Following todat’s Race 2 at the Red Bull Ring, it was found that the Chinese driver has made contact with Bent Viscaal between turns 7 and 8 as he attempted a pass on the right and found insufficient room. He thus collided with Viscaal which ended both of their races effectively. Yifei was judged wholly responsible for the incident.

As a consequence, the Hitech driver will lose 5 grid places for Round 4 Race 1.
