Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak has become PHM AIX Racing’s second signing for the 2024 FIA Formula 3 campaign the team has confirmed.

The Thai driver makes the step up to F3 after competing in the Formula Regional Middle East Championship in 2023. He is also currently racing in the ’24 edition, competing with PHM AIX’s FRMEC outfit.

He began his career in karts before graduating to single seater racing in 2021 and the Formula 4 UAE Championship, scoring three podium finishes en route to fifth. He also combined that with a year in British F4 where he also made the podium three times, including taking his first victory.

Inthraphuvasak returned to UAE F4 the following season where he took pole twice and won once. He competed in the Spanish F4 Championship, taking one pole, one win and two podiums. The Thai driver also raced in Eurocup 3, scoring four podiums and finishing the season sixth overall.

Reflecting on his upcoming F3 campaign with PHM AIX, Inthraphuvasak says that he was very excited to get underway in 2024.

“I am extremely delighted to announce that I will be racing with PHM AIX Racing in FIA Formula 3. I would like to thank everyone who has made this possible and the team for giving me this amazing opportunity. I can’t wait to get started in Bahrain in a couple of weeks!”

Rohland Rehfeld, PHM AIX Racing Sporting Director added that the team had been very impressed with the Thai driver’s work ethic already and were eager to see what he would do in F3.

“We are very happy to have signed Tas at an early stage, showing his trust in our still young Team. He is fully dedicated to our driver program including the UAE winter season as well as our FIA Formula 3 team. Tas has collected victories in each class and championship he was competing in so far, so he knows how to deliver. He is extremely ambitious and focused and in the post-season testing he already showed a very promising performance and work ethic. We are sure he will be one of the positive surprises in 2024.”
