Verschoor creates his ultimate track in the Netherlands

We hand the reigns over to Richard Verschoor who crafts a brand-new addition to the FIA Formula 3 calendar. Choosing everything from the country, to the celebrity that he would invite, the MP Motorsport driver creates a new race weekend.
Verschoor’s night race would include plenty of fans, the river Utrechtse Vecht and an interesting proposition for some added weekend entertainment.
WHERE WOULD THE RACE BE HELD?
“It would be held in Holland, for sure. There would be a lot of fans there and I think that the atmosphere would be really nice, I enjoy being in my own country.
“I’d have the actual race in Utrecht, which is the province in Holland where I live. A lot of people would have said Amsterdam, but it is already so big, so I need to promote Utrecht a bit.”
__WHAT WOULD THE TRACK BE LIKE? __
“I think that a street race would be pretty cool. Obviously, nothing will ever beat Monaco, but I think that we could get close - it would be nice. If you really go into the city, then you have the river Utrechtse Vecht, which you could go over. Of course, you have all of the students as well, who are studying there.”

__DAY OR NIGHT RACE? __
“A night race, I would want it to be a bit different.”
__WET OR DRY? __
“If I had only one shot to race in Utrecht, then I would say dry because I think it would be nicer for the people who are attending the event. As a driver though, I prefer to drive in the wet.”
WHICH CELEBRITY WOULD ATTEND THE EVENT?
“As a kid, I always liked Usain Bolt, I don't know why. He seems like a really nice guy and it would be really cool to have him there. He could try and keep up with me on foot!”
