Hunter Yeany receives post-Qualifying grid penalty

Hunter Yeany has been penalised following the conclusion of the Round 2’s Qualifying session in Melbourne.
The Rodin Carlin driver has been handed a 10-place grid drop for Saturday’s Sprint Race after he was found not have reduced his speed significantly in a double waved yellow flag sector. In addition, his best lap time of a 1:35.132 has been deleted, having been set under the double waved yellow at Turn 14.
As a result, the American racer’s next best effort of a 1:35.780 drops him to P26 in the final classification and he will now start Saturday’s Sprint Race from P29.
