Charlie Wurz switches to Trident for 2025 Formula 3 season

Trident have announced their first driver signing for the 2025 season with Charlie Wurz set to join the Italian outfit ahead of his second campaign in FIA Formula 3.
Wurz spent his rookie F3 campaign with Jenzer Motorsport, scoring a season high P5 in the Melbourne Feature Race and finishing 22nd overall in the Standings.
Prior to that, the 18-year-old completed several title-winning campaigns, earning the 2022 Formula 4 UAE Championship and the 2023 Formula Regional Oceania Championship.
Speaking following the announcement of his move to Trident, Wurz spoke of his excitement at joining the title-winning team.
“I am really happy to have signed with Trident and to race with the team that has won the last two FIA Formula 3 Championships in 2025,” said Wurz.
“The team's track record could not be more prestigious. I've already developed a great chemistry with the team, as we share the same drive and desire to win. I know I have a lot to learn from them. I am already training for next year and cannot wait to get started.”
Team Manager Giacomo Ricci added: “We are thrilled to announce that Austrian driver Charlie Wurz is joining the Trident Motorsport family. Charlie is an intelligent and fast driver. As he embarks on his second year in the FIA Formula 3 Championship, we are confident that he will perform exceptionally well in our colours. We look forward to working with him during the post-season tests.”
