Returning favourites Logan Sargeant and Enzo Fittipaldi will complete Charouz Racing System’s driver line-up for the 2021 campaign, with the Czech based side announcing that the American and the Brazilian will join them ahead of the opening round at Barcelona this weekend.

A title contender in the 2020 campaign, Sargeant finished third in Formula 3 last season with PREMA, winning twice and taking four further podiums, as well as three poles.

The American linked-up with Charouz at the pre-season tests at Spielberg and Barcelona, impressing the side with his speed and knowhow.

Sargeant arrives with plenty of experience, finishing as runner-up in the UAE Formula 4 2017 Championship, in his first season of single-seaters, before following that up with P3 in British F4 the next year.

"Early this year, I didn’t know if I was ever going to get in a race car again,” said Sargeant. “So I was honored to get this opportunity from Charouz Racing System. I’m going to give it everything I have to put the car at the front and keep trying to build within the team. I’m really looking forward to it.”

Grandson of two-time F1 champion Emerson, Fittipaldi will be contesting his second year of F3, but switches from German side HWA RACELAB to Czech based Charouz, on the back of a season where he scored 27 points, with a best finish of P4 at Mugello.

During the off-season, Fittipaldi competed for HAAS alongside his brother Pietro in the F1 Virtual Grand Prix, winning the opening round from ninth, beating the likes of Stoffel Vandoorne, Nicholas Latifi and Alex Albon.

Winner of the 2018 Italian Formula 4 Championship, Fittipaldi was also a title contender in ADAC F4 that season, coming third, before finishing as runner-up to ART Grand Prix driver Frederik Vesti in Formula Regional European the following year.

"I am really happy for the chance that team owner Antonin Charouz and team manager Bob Vavřík gave me,” said Fittipaldi. “It will definitely be a challenge since I didn’t do any of the pre-season testing but I will do my best with this opportunity. I'm looking forward to the first race weekend in Barcelona!”

Team owner Antonin Charouz added: “We are really satisfied with the line-up we’ve just finalized for the 2021 FIA F3 season, mixing talent and a good knowledge of the category. Logan was a top contender in 2020 and he confirmed his speed during the pre-season tests that we completed recently, helping us in the car set-up as well.

“Enzo, beyond his family name, is a racer with true potential. We'll do our best to unleash his qualities. I'm sure both Logan and Enzo are going to be also valuable references for Reshad, who, as a rookie, is approaching an important category step-up. His preparation in the last weeks has been very fruitful. Let's hope to enjoy a positive and entertaining season with all our guys.”
