The Title Race Intensifies

Up until recently, the title race was mainly between two PREMA men, Robert Shwartzman and Jehan Daruvala. However, already in Spielberg, a third man had risen to the occasion in the name of Jüri Vips. Last weekend in Silverstone, the Estonian driver was the top man in qualifying and in Race 1, claiming pole position and a second win in a row. After Round 4, 12 points cover the top 3 in the Drivers’ Championship. We’ve now reached the midway point of the season. I’m excited to see what the second half of the campaign holds.

Hitech GP’s Rise

For the past two rounds, Hitech Grand Prix have hit their stride and in Silverstone they were on top of things: Vips and Leonardo Pulcini won both races bringing the squad’s season record to 3 victories. Admittedly, PREMA Racing’s mammoth lead in the Teams’ Championship will be hard to challenge, but Hitech have certainly proven that they are up to the task!

Fair and Clean

Over the course of the race weekend at Silverstone, only two penalties were handed to two different drivers, both of which were time penalties. This is a fine testimony of the clean racing we’ve witnessed in Formula 3: our drivers fought hard with Vips notably surviving race-long pressure from Daruvala for the win, but they did so in a fair manner which is impressive and noteworthy. So far this season, our drivers have produced a riveting spectacle.

Early Birds

As always, the Silverstone crowd has showed incredible support to our Championships, filling the grandstands and the rest of the circuit for our races even if they were scheduled fairly early. It is wonderful for our drivers and our teams to be able to show their worth in front of a live crowd.
