Prema Racing Dominate

After just two rounds, PREMA Racing have built up a 113 point lead over ART Grand Prix. That’s very impressive! They have won all four races and amassed seven podium finishes already. All three of their drivers are 1-2-3 in the championship with Robert Shwartzman and Jehan Daruvala wining two races each. It is safe to say they are the ones to beat at the moment. But in France, we saw Trident’s Pedro Piquet also star in both races, and HWA’s Jake Hughes take pole position. There is definitely room for other teams and other drivers to shine in the coming events.

Enthralling Racing

Both our races in France have been hugely entertaining with battles all through the field. I am very pleased with that. When we designed our car, one of our main goals was to ensure it would give the drivers the opportunity to fight for positions. Last weekend, we saw overtaking manoeuvres outside of the DRS zones which proves that we’ve achieved just that. F3 races have become unmissable!

Seven

PREMA’s domination should not hide the fact that seven drivers scored their first points in the championship in France. Of course, Piquet was the most successful of them with two podium finishes and a grand total of 27 points, but Bent Viscaal also starred with 10 points in Race 1 for HWA RACELAB. Add to the list, Hughes, MP Motorsport’s Richard Verschoor and Liam Lawson, Campos Racing’s Alex Peroni, and Carlin Buzz Racing’s Logan Sargeant. On the team’s side, three of them scored their first points in Round 2. I am impatient to see what this week’s round at the Red Bull Ring will bring…
