Matías Zagazeta is the next driver to tell us more about himself with the DAMS Lucas Oil member revealing all from his childhood sporting prowess to his backyard DJ sets with friends.
The Peruvian also talks us through the support he offers his professional tennis friend, Ignacio Buse, as well as Arsenal Football Club.
“Well, I like to watch football, I'm a big football fan and I enjoy watching tennis quite a lot. One of my best friends from Peru, we used to study in school together, he is now a tennis player, so I spend a lot of time with him, I go to some of his trainings, and we spend time together.

“It's good because we are both involved in sports, we are both athletes, so we understand each other, it's very nice.
“I'm very into tennis and football mainly. I was watching quite a lot of Wimbledon and then football, I'm an Arsenal fan.
“The most recent match I went too was the semi-final of the Champions League against PSG. The first game I went too was the start of 2020 against Newcastle, at the Arsenal Stadium, and they won 4-0, so I went there and I really enjoyed it.
“I have a lot of friends, we watch the games together, so it's really nice.
“I used to play football as a kid, so when I was younger, before I even got involved in racing, I tried football and tennis as well.
“In tennis, I was a disaster, I was super bad. So we discarded that and once I started training football, I got into a mini academy in Peru, doing some classes.

“But I was terrible, extremely bad, it was just for fun. I think I was just a bit of a decent goalkeeper but I was still really bad. Then I got put into a go kart and it was fine.
“I'm very into music as well. I like quite a lot of music and recently with my friends, just listening to house and electronic music.
“So I'm starting to get into a bit of learning how to mix songs like a DJ. I am taking the first steps, learning a little bit, so it's pretty cool.
“I'm not at the clubs, but we just go to one friend's garden and they put their whole DJ equipment out, we do like a whole set. We are there chilling with friends, listening to music with speakers. It's very cool, it's basically spending time with friends and listening to music, it's really cool.
“I guess because my friends and I have a similar music taste so I am enjoying that aspect, it's very cool. I just enjoy it, and I am starting to learn how to mix and all this stuff. I just find it super interesting.
“It's not extremely hard to get into it and to learn the basics, but it's hard to get good at it. It's very interesting, and it's very fun. But it's basically that, tennis, and football, but tennis is another big part now.
“I live in Barcelona, right in the centre so it's very good. I have been there for three years and a bit now, so already some time. I moved to the UK first back in 2020 and I was here for about a year and a half. I was in a boarding school here in the UK.

“It was very difficult to adapt, it's a very different culture to what I had experienced in Peru, and just to come into a boarding school was quite shocking at the beginning.
“Being away from family quite young, I didn't know how to cook anything so I had to learn along the way. Now I enjoy cooking, not so much, I still get deliveries, but I still enjoy cooking.
“It's still very good, it helped me mature quite a bit. It was very nice, and now in Barcelona it's cool because I have my friends, I have my family that come to visit, language is a lot easier, the food is very good, the weather all the time is sunny. It's a great city.”
