We dive into the paddocks to take a look at the essential items for our drivers on a race weekend. From iPads and AirPods to helmets and hats and much more, we find out what they can’t travel without.

Devlin DeFrancesco is up next…

Watch

This was given to me by Juan Pablo Montoya. He is a good family friend of ours and has helped me a lot over the last couple of years. He is actually with me this weekend at Silverstone. It was his watch, it was his version of a Daytona. There is a Juan Montoya Daytona Rolex. This is the watch I always bring with me, it’s my track watch, I wear it when I am going out and I always wear it at the track. It is something that I think looks pretty cool.

Raoul Hyman

I am just going to throw him in here because he likes to take the mick all the time. He is one of the items that I have to have with me. He likes to wind everyone up, he's the big wind-up merchant of the paddock!

AirPods

Most drivers listen to music before they get into their cars, as do I. AirPods are the earphones for me. I find the large headphones too big, whereas with the airpods, I can just keep them in my pocket. Usually, I just listen to the global top 50, anything to stop people from talking to me. Especially before I get in the car, I don't want to talk to people, I am worried about my own stuff.

Sunglasses

I wouldn’t be a stereotypical racing driver without the sunglasses, would I? I always bring them with me.

Passport

My last item is the passport. No races, no checking into hotels, if I forgot this, I wouldn't get anywhere laughs. I have both an Italian and a Canadian passport. I spend most of my time during the season in Italy.
