Artem Petrov to race with Jenzer Motorsport in 2019

Swiss outfit Jenzer Motorsport have announced that Russian driver Artem Petrovwill join them for the 2019 FIA Formula 3 season. The young gun from Saint-Petersburg, who recently turned 19 years old, will be racing alongside Japanese driver Yuki Tsunoda.
Artem has accomplished a number of notable results throughout his racing career. Starting from karting he switched to open-wheel junior racing series and took part in major competitions including the German and Italian FIA Formula 4 championships. In 2018 Artem added the Formula 3 European championship to his experience and will now take on a new challenge: Formula 3.
Artem Petrov said: “I want to compete in Formula 3 because the level of competition is very high. It will bring me a lot of experience. Races will be carried out with an absolutely new car for everyone so there is a chance to show a very good result.”
Jenzer Motorsport team owner Andreas Jenzer added: “We are pleased to welcome Artem in our team. We followed his results throughout the last seasons and we are excited to finally see him race in our car.”
