Tim Tramnitz is delighted to be back for a second season with MP Motorsport, as the German is already targeting areas for development ahead of 2025.

The 20-year-old enjoyed a stellar rookie campaign, winning one race and achieving an additional three podiums on his way to finishing ninth in the Standings with 91 points.

He is now set to return for another go round in the third tier and Tramnitz has already made his targets clear for the next campaign.

“It feels good,” said Tramnitz. “Of course, you always want to step up as early as possible, but I feel like there is a big chance for me and the team next year to be in the Championship fight and also it will be interesting with the new car.

“It’s a new experience for me as well to try and develop the new car because I've never really done it before, so probably quite a lot of new things that I will experience over the winter as well, working with the team, I am really excited and looking forward to it.”

Reflecting on his 2024 season though, Tramnitz believes that there was potential for him to finish in the top five, had it not been for a difficult triple header in Barcelona, Spielberg, and Silverstone a run in which he only scored four points.

But he was delighted with the end of the year, with a victory in the Monza Sprint Race a high point in a run of form where he finished in the points in five of the last six races.

But attentions now turn to 2025 and Tramnitz is confident MP can get to grips with the new car given how the team has performed with the new machinery in Formula 2 this season, the Dutch outfit currently third in the Standings with a round to go.

“For sure I feel very good in the team,” he said. “I probably have the best relationships inside the team with everyone and I feel like this is a very important point for a driver, it can really affect your performance.

“If you feel the team is pushing, is motivated, and trying to do a good job, it also pushes you as a driver and I feel like this was the case with MP.

“I mean also if you look at their development of a new F2 car they look quite strong this season. Of course, the team knows now where to start, how to develop a new car, and I feel like they can also do a good job in F3 like they did in F2, that's the aim of course.”

But there will also be the personal side of things, and Tramnitz acknowledges there are areas of his driving that he will be working on over the winter to give him a better chance at winning the 2025 title.

“I feel like the main thing will be purely focus on the job you can,” he said. “Just put in everything you can do, to always get the best out of it, even if there is a weekend where it's not fully there, or you can't win a race, at least make the best out of it.

“Always come out of the weekend and say I have done everything I can, don't leave anything on the table. I also feel like to fight for a Championship this will be key, to be consistent and not leave any chances open.

“That's what I want to do next year, to really say to myself after every weekend I've done everything I can, which will be a challenge as well. I feel like also the mental part will be a thing, that’s important also, and I'll get some good mental prep over the winter to prepare for next year.”
