Hitech TGR have announced their second driver signing for the 2026 season, with Michael Shin set to join the team for the upcoming campaign.

Shin returns to Formula 3 having competed in six races during the 2023 season, and since then he has finished fourth in the Formula Regional Oceania Championship and seventh in Eurocup-3 back in 2024.

This year, the South Korean driver has been competing in the Euroformula Open Championship, and with one round to go he is second in the Standings, having achieved four victories.

In addition to that, Shin also competed in one round of the 2025 GB3 Championship, achieving one podium finish.

The 21-year-old is now set to step up to F3 full-time in 2026 with Hitech, and he excited with the opportunity ahead of him.

“I am delighted to be returning home to Hitech TGR for my full FIA F3 debut,” said Shin. “Having been away from the team these past two years developing, this feels like a perfect reunion. I am looking forward to getting to work in the post-season tests and building towards a strong debut in Melbourne.”
