Christian Ho is hopeful that he can learn from the mistakes of his rookie Formula 3 season to put on a more consistent showing in 2026, as he starts life at his new environment at Rodin Motorsport.

The Singaporean driver showed plenty of promise this year, achieving four top 10 results on his way to ending the campaign 22nd in the Standings with 17 points.

Ho now moves over to Rodin for his second season in F3, and he revealed how excited he is to be joining the team.

“It feels good,” said Ho on joining Rodin for 2026. “Obviously, it's a different environment. I'm based in the UK, and Rodin is in the UK as well, so it's much easier for me to commute to the workshop, so I can get to work.

“I think that is the most important thing, especially ahead of next season, so that I can learn from the mistakes I made this year and also to prep for next year as well. I am definitely looking to fix those mistakes that we had and to refine everything.”

When asked about the mistakes made in 2025, Ho said there were some good performances, but he outlined a few issues he faced that meant he and DAMS Lucas Oil could not get the results they had hoped to achieve.

“Obviously, this year was not the best season for us as a team, not only for me,” recapped Ho. “There were some good points, like Silverstone and Bahrain, and like here in Imola actually.

“I feel like if I just take the good moments, in Bahrain we had good one lap pace, and Silverstone where I was strong in the wet, and we maximised what we had in the weekend.

“I feel like there were a lot of mistakes I made last year, and the fact that I didn't know many of the tracks coming into the year did not help. Coming to Imola, with no experience of the track, Monza, not having experience of the track, and a lot more tracks, it did not really help at all.

“That's what I discussed with DAMS as well, the performances were not the best, but the margins are so small in the Championship. Like in Hungary, where there was not a lot between me in P24 and P12, and it was my first time there in FP.

“So it's just getting more experience on the tracks I don't know, the tracks that I struggled at, and just putting better prep in for next year.”

Ho was speaking at the final post-season test in Imola, as he continued to get acclimatised to his new surroundings at Rodin.

It will be the fourth team the 19-year-old has raced for in his single seater career, and he shared his early impressions of his new team.

“I think it's always different, it's a different experience,” said Ho on changing to a British-based team. “I enjoyed working with DAMS to be honest, they were very professional.

“With Campos it was nice in Spanish F4 and Eurocup, it was very family like. My engineer now is from Campos as well. It's a very similar vibe for me here, not only my engineer, but the entire team, I think we work really well together.

“My first impressions are already really nice. It's nice to have some laughs in the garage, it's good vibes, and I am sure next year will be a good year as long as we put everything together.”

Focusing on the 2026 campaign, Ho says his goals are the same as the ones he had at the start of his rookie year, with momentum the key for what he hopes will be a positive season.

“Last year my goal for this year was to be consistent,” added Ho. “I wanted to always be up there because I know this championship is all about consistency. My target was to be in the top 10 every race, which obviously didn't happen.

“But for the start of next year, I want it to be like that, we qualify in the top 12 consistently, and get good points every single race.

“But in the middle part of the year, we should begin to put everything together. We should try to fight for the podiums, which in this championship is what you need, momentum. That's what I want to get at the start of the year and try to build from that.”
