It all went down to the wire, but in the end it was ART Grand Prix's Victor Martins who held his nerve to be crowned the 2022 FIA Formula 3 Champion. His second shot at the title was marked by an impressively consistent run of form from the outset that included two wins, six podiums and spending all but one round at the top of the Drivers' Standings.
The highly-competitive season saw seven different pole sitters, 11 winners in 18 races and 16 drivers take their spot on the podium. A nail-biting season finale in Monza was on the cards with seven drivers still in with a shot at glory, but nobody could stop the Frenchman taking home the title.
PREMA Racing retook the Teams' Championship honours from Trident in the final race of the year, with their trio all finishing inside the top seven. Meanwhile, vice-champion Zane Maloney and Isack Hadjar claimed the joint-most wins of the season, as the Bajan driver was victorious in the final three Feature Races of his rookie campaign.
