PREMA Racing’s Dennis Hauger clinched the 2021 FIA Formula 3 title on the back of a remarkably consistent campaign that included nine podiums, four wins and three pole positions.
Along with vice-champion Jack Doohan, Hauger has the joint-most wins in a single season of F3, finishing out of the points on just four occasions. The duo’s title fight went to the wire, with Hauger sealing the crown in the first race of the final round.
Doohan may have missed out on the Drivers’ title, but the Australian’s tally of seven podiums, four wins and two poles helped Trident to take the Teams’ Championship away from PREMA for the first time in F3. Trident pipped their Italian counterparts to the crown by four points in the final race, with Doohan taking the win and Clément Novalak scoring the team's 13th podium of the year.
