WHAT DOES THE 2024 RACE WEEKEND FORMAT CONSIST OF?

Friday One Free Practice (45 minutes). One Qualifying Session (30 minutes).

Saturday One Sprint Race lasting 45 minutes.

Sunday One Feature Race lasting one hour.

HOW ARE THE STARTING GRIDS DECIDED?

Sprint Race – The grid is determined by reversing the top 12 finishers of Friday’s Qualifying session results.

Feature Race – The grid is determined by the results of the final classification of Friday’s Qualifying session.

WHAT IS THE POINTS ALLOCATION IN THE RACES?

Sprint Race - The top 10 classified drivers will be awarded 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 points respectively.

Feature Race - The top 10 finishers will score 25, 18, 15, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2 and 1 points respectively.

WHY ARE THERE MORE POINTS AWARDED IN THE FEATURE RACE ON SUNDAY?

The starting grid is decided by the Qualifying results. The race also takes place ahead of the Formula 1 Grand Prix in front of a larger crowd.

HOW MANY POINTS ARE ALLOCATED FOR POLE POSITION?

The driver who is shown in pole position for the Feature Race on the final grid issued will be awarded with two points.

Note: if the driver who has set the quickest laptime of the Qualifying Session receives a grid penalty for the Feature Race, he will no longer be eligible for the points for pole position. Only the driver who starts from pole position in the Feature Race is allocated two points. To clarify, when a driver is promoted to pole position, he is credited two points even if he has not set the quickest laptime in Qualifying.

ARE DRIVERS STARTING FROM REVERSE POLE POSITION IN THE SPRINT RACE AWARDED TWO POINTS AS WELL?

No. Only the driver who starts from pole position on Sunday for the Feature Race is allocated two points.

HOW MANY POINTS ARE ALLOCATED FOR FASTEST LAP IN THE RACES? WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR FASTEST LAP POINTS?

In each race, one point will be awarded to the driver who achieves the fastest lap time, providing he was in the top 10 positions of the final race classification.

The additional point will be awarded to the driver inside the top 10 with the next fastest time if the fastest time is achieved by a driver that finished outside the top 10 positions.

WHICH GRADE LICENSE IS NEEDED TO RACE IN F2, AND WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE TO COMPETE IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP?

Grade A or B.

The minimum age to compete in Formula 3 is 16 years old.
