The FIA Formula 3 campaign returns for Round 6 at Barcelona in Spain, but what should you be watching out for this weekend?

LEO IS BACK

Leonardo Pulcini returns to F3 in Barcelona to assist Carlin Buzz Racing. A race winner in 2019, Leo’s experience and knowledge behind the scenes will be important for the British outfit who are seeking to add more trophies to their 2020 tally. Let’s see if he can be competitive off the mark on a demanding track.

PIASTRI NEEDS TO RETALIATE

Oscar Piastri didn’t have the best of times at Silverstone. The Aussie racer suffered with some mechanical issues and was then lacking a bit of pace in the races.

Meanwhile, teammate Logan Sargeant shone with a second pole position and a maiden win which saw him take the Championship lead.

With just a single point separating the two of them, can Piastri fight back in Barcelona?

WE COULD SEE AN EIGHTH DIFFERENT WINNER IN 2020

F3 has enjoyed a brand-new race winner in every round bar one so far this season, with Sargeant and Bent Viscaal becoming the sixth and seventh different victors of the year last time out.

Only three drivers have won more than once this season, which begs the question: will we see another new winner in Round 6?

Lirim Zendeli came mighty close last time out, while Richard Verschoor and Alex Peroni have both been quick. They'll be amongst those to watch in Barcelona.

OVERTAKING OPPORTUNITIES

The Circuit De Barcelona-Catalunya isn’t the easiest for overtaking on, however but it’s far from impossible, there are multiple hotspots to pass. They just require ultimate precision, skill, and bravery.

Turns 1-3 present one of the best opportunities. Coming at the end of the longest DRS zone on the circuit, it favours those who are late on the brakes – making it somewhat a case of ‘who dares, wins.’

Turn 10 is also a favourable spot for a move. Coming at the end of the shorter, second DRS zone, there will be plenty who attempt a pass here, so keep your eyes open.
